Playgroups in Baltimore City
Need something to do with your baby or toddler in Baltimore city? Playgroups are a wonderful way to explore socialization, find a weekly rhythm, and is a great reason to get out of the house.

Children’s Village of Baltimore
Children’s Village is located in the Roland Park Community Center. You can sign up for one or two mornings a week from 9:30-11:30am, during the fall/winter and spring semesters for infants and toddlers. On days with nice weather, everyone is outside - playing with bikes, drawing with chalk, exploring the balance beam, digging in the sandbox, or just running around. On days with bad weather, or when its just too cold, there is an indoor set up with Montessori/Reggio Emilia inspired activities. Every playgroup ends with a story and songs. Children of the World is located downstairs at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, between N Charles and St Paul, near the Hopkins Homewood Campus. They have sessions Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday from 9:30-11:30am for children ages 6mo-4y. They offer indoor play with many options in a relaxed environment where kids can explore. They also have an outdoor playground when the weather is nice. For parents who speak English as a second language, there is conversational instruction available during group, at no extra charge. Sprocket has an indoor playspace with two time blocks at 9 and 230 most days. They are located in the basement of St. Lukes Church on the Avenue in Hampden. There are many toys for children ages birth to 5 yo to explore and it is a drop-in style at $10 a day. Coffee and tea are available for adults. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 930-11am, you can join other kids up to 23 months old as of September 1 to play and get to know each other. It is free to join but they ask you register. Together children will play, sing songs, and hear stories while practicing social skills and enjoying group activities. Don’t forget a snack!
A movement circle, group snack, projects for adults, and creative play makeup the Waldorf Parent/Child group that meets year-round at the Waldorf School. They are located near Cylburn Arboretum in northwest Baltimore. These sessions are offered for 8 weeks, once a week on Thursday, Friday or Saturday mornings. The cost is $395.
